The clients brief asked for a two storey family home in a pseudo American Colonial style probably picked up from home design magazines popular at the time. Perth has since gained it's own confidence in local style and has largely moved away from borrowing too much from the American market. But after all these years the home still looks good, confident and proud of it's bold street statement.
