New home in old Inglewood.

A successful real estate consultant (who drove a new yellow beatle) wanted an executive family style home on a small lot in a new subdivision in an older established area. A balcony at the front simply for looks created a formal entrance to the home.
At the rear of the lot was a 4 metre high retaining wall overlooking a playing field so another balcony to take in the views was a must.   But views were available even from the ground floor so the rear of the ground floor was all living - dining - kitchen. Upstairs the master suite and casual private lounge shared the outlook.

When you have Room!

Here's my original concept sketch.

Designed for a builder, the large home enjoys space on the 4 acre property in Maida Vale.  A circular driveway also accesses his workshop and office.

A long verandah stretches to provide shade to the minor bedrooms.
The Entry door & sidelights feature leadlight panels.
An Alcove designed in the family area with built in display cabinets.

Dropped ceilings follow the shape of the octagonal well appointed kitchen
More dropped ceilings over the dining area echo the kitchen and enjoy a bay window that takes advantage of the large rear yard with swimming pool and gardens.
The ensuite is pure luxury and enjoys sweeping views of the rear yard.  Dual basins and full width mirror make the already large room spacious and enjoyable.
