Swanbourne Timeless Beauty

This lovely graceful home was one of my earlier triumphs around 1989, designed for and built by Fernihough Homes. An executive couple with a sloping site near the ocean wanted a generous and stylish family home.  The 2 storey was split into 2 levels which means each flight of stair lands you at another level.

Faux stone render finish, zincalume roof with bullnosed verandah, huge fanlight window over the entrance, timber frame windows... the list of quality is extensive.  The home was used in an advertising brochure for brick paving. I remember the ensuite with the spa in the huge bay window, the casual meals below in the same bay. The staircase with the wide plynth for war trophies.
The home now sits and ages gracefully amongst older and newer luxury homes and 'like an old wine seems to get better with time.
