Grandesign Pty Ltd was created in 2009,
however building designer and director Nathan Ellery has been part of the building industry, designing and documenting residential and commercial projects since 1983. Beginning in the budget project building sector and moving through luxury home builders, a designer for luxury new homes and renovations and commercial projects, Nathan also has extensive experience in the property development market designing for 2 larger and several smaller property developers over the last 7 years.
Nathan has also 'got his feet wet', building his own project development of 4 townhouses and his own home.
Currently Nathan is a hired gun on many interesting projects for developments, custom designed houses or small commercial.

Grandesign can also offer planning services through affiliation with experienced Planner Stephen Walker of Vanguard Planning for small or larger property developments.
The name?
Yes I do enjoy the British TV series "Grand Designs" following along with the owners on the construction special homes, however I wasn't thinking of it when I decided on a new name. I'd traded under my own name and also By Design until I found someone else had also registered pretty much the same thing. My final inspiration was from one of my favourite music artists Kerry Livgren of Kansas fame who's music production company is called Grandezine. The spelling quirk seemed a little dated but I decided to keep the merge.
